HOLMES, Mildred Merle Holmes, 91, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, September 19, 2008. Mrs. Holmes, a member of First Baptist Church of Jacksonville, is survived by her two sons, Jim and Leon (Kitty) Holmes. Her husband, Albert Holmes and her third son, Ronnie Holmes, preceded her in death. Additional family members include 10 brothers and sisters, 9 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren and a host of nephews, nieces and friends. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, September 24, in the chapel of COREY-KERLIN FUNERAL HOME, 940 Cesery Blvd., with Rev. Steve McCollum, officiating. Interment will be in Edgewood Cemetery.
