Michele E. McCreary, age 59, passed away at the Hadlow Center for Caring in Jacksonville, Florida on September 9, 2016. She was born on June 29, 1957 in Yokohama City, Japan to James and Marlane Moore. Michele has been a resident of Jacksonville since 2009 coming from Moorhead City and Beaufort N.C.
She was a graduate of Temple University in Philadelphia, PA and prior to retirement she was a Journalist with the Philadelphia Enquirer and the Atlanta Journal Constitution Newspapers.
She was predeceased by her husband Michael Joseph Rousey. Michele is survived by three daughters, Christine McCreary Overbee (Chris) of Jacksonville, FL, Brittany McCreary also of Jacksonville, FL and Lindsey McCreary of St. Augustine, FL. She also leaves nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
A visitation will be held on Friday September 16, 2016 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm with a celebration of her life beginning at 12:00 pm at the Hardage-Giddens Greenlawn Funeral Home, 4300 Beach Blvd. Jacksonville, Florida 32207.
Those who wish may make contribution in her name to Hospice of Northeast Florida.
