Michael O. Mortis, Sr., 48, passed away at his home in Jacksonville on September 15, 2011. He was born in Rome, NY and has resided in Jacksonville for the past 22 years where he worked in the Rent to Own business.
Surviving family members include his son Michael O. Mortis, Jr. and daughter, Elizabeth Ann Mortis, their mother Sandi Chambers all of Jacksonville, FL, mother, Mary Catherine Mortis, brothers, Joe, Wonder, Timothy (Patty) Mortis, sister Rosellen (John) Gray, all of Rome, NY.
A visitation will be held from 5-9pm, Friday, September 23, 2011 at Hardage-Giddens Chapel Hills Funeral Home, 850 St. Johns Bluff Rd. N., Jacksonville FL. Funeral services will be held at 11am, Saturday, September 24, 2011 at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Chapel Hills Memory Gardens.
