Merrell Andrew Dickerson, Sr. age 85, passed away in Jacksonville, FL on May 23, 2023. He was born in Coshocton, OH on December 31, 1937 to Lester Dickerson and Annabelle Davis. He earned the rank of Chief Warrant Officer W2 in the U. S. Army where he received a Vietnam Service Medal, Bronze Star Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, National Defense Service Medal, and a Good Conduct Medal, he also worked in food service while in the military. After serving in the Army, Merrell acquired an Associate’s Degree in college and was married to Maria Dickerson until her death.
Merrell Andrew Dickerson, Sr. is survived by three sons, Thomas Karl Dickerson, Merrell Andrew Dickerson, Jr. and Michael Allen Dickerson; and two daughters Joanne Maria Dickerson, Debra Ann Dickerson.
Preceded in death by his loving wife, Maria.
He is also remembered with love and respect by Camdyn and Xander.
