Melvin D. Hall

Mel retired from the US Navy after 22 years of service as a Chief Petty Officer before he began his 2nd career with the US Postal service where he retired after 21 years of service.

He was a member of Mandarin Baptist Church.

Preceded in death by his son, Darrell Hall and his first wife, Georgia Hall, he is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Joann Hall; sons, David Hall and Dana Hall (Brenda); stepchildren, Cynthia Meyers, James A. Bencina (Rose) and Pamela Williamson (Rodney); 20 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren and many other family members and friends.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday (today), January 5th in Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home of Mandarin. The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 6th in Mandarin Baptist Church, 11244 San Jose Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32223 with Pastor William Yeldell and Pastor Dan Davis as Officiants, followed by interment in Jacksonville National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Mandarin Baptist Church Building Fund.
