Megan Rene Simmons, age 14, went to be with her Lord and Savior August 14, 2013 in Jacksonville, FL. Megan was born April 19, 1999 in Jacksonville, Florida to Kylie Jean Simmons and Steve Chesire. She was preparing to enter the eighth grade at Lakeshore Middle School. She enjoyed swimming, riding horses and using her lovely voice singing. Megan will be missed dearly by her mother Kylie Simmons and step dad Jay Sightler; her three brothers Brian Sightler, Thai Sightler, and Chandler Sightler; one sister Sabreena Sightler; maternal grandmother Karen Pippin; maternal grandfather Kyle Simmons; maternal great-grandmother Tommie Bell; two aunts Neta Sessions and Misty Sightler; and her uncle Kevin Simmons. She is also survived by numerous other aunts, uncles, and cousins. Family will receive friends and family 6:00- 8:00 pm, Friday, August 23, 2013 at Hardage-Giddens Town & Country Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205. Funeral Services will be 11:00 am, Saturday, August 24, 2013 at Paxon Revival Center Church, 5461 Commonwealth Ave., Jacksonville, FL 32210 with Pastor Steve Dodd officiating. Interment will follow the services at Riverside Memorial Park, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205.
