May Bailey Inman Perry, age 90, passed away peacefully on September 23, 2014, at Hadlow Community Hospice. She was born in Georgiana, Al., and lived in Jacksonville since her childhood, graduating from Andrew Jackson High School. She was a loyal employee of the Prudential Insurance Co. for over 30 years before her retirement. May was a longtime member of First United Methodist Church and a member of Southside Baptist Church in her later years. She loved the Lord, her family, working in her yard, and music. May was predeceased by her parents, Henry Albert Bailey and May Barge Bailey, and her loving husband, Jackson (Jack) Skaggs Perry. She is survived by her devoted son, Thomas R. Inman Jr. (Connie); grandson, Thomas R. Inman III (Diana); granddaughter, Amy I. Cumbow (John); and two great-grandchildren, Katherine and Alexander. The family is very grateful to the staff at the Carriage Club Assisted Living and the Hadlow Center for the loving kindness given to May and the family. A funeral service and interment will be held at 2:00pm on Friday, September 26, 2014 at Oaklawn Chapel and Cemetery, 4801 San Jose Blvd., Jacksonville. The family will greet friends at 1:00pm in the Chapel. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Multiple Sclerosis Society or the Northeast Florida Community Hospice.
