Matthew was a music and history enthusiast, enjoyed fishing, cooking on the grill, movies, cars, attending sporting events, travelling and best of all, being with friends and family.
Preceded in death by his grandfather, J. Thomas Gillette, Jr., he is survived by his parents, Tom and Michele; paternal grandmother, Marguerite Adams Gillette; maternal grandparents, Gordon E. and Huguette J. Tucker; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, November 11th in Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home of Mandarin. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 12th in St. Joseph’s Historic Church, 4214 Loretto Road with Father Dan Cody as Celebrant, followed by interment in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
