She was born in Plant City, Florida on October 22, 1928 to John and Claudia McMath. She graduated from Plant City High School and worked for Western Union before serving in the U. S. Navy. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Mary was a faithful member of Lakeshore United Methodist Church and then of Riverside Park United Methodist Church. She had a passion for traveling and seeing the world. She was much loved by her family and friends and will be greatly missed.
Mary was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Milton, as well as by three sisters and three brothers. She is survived by her son, Jeffery, her daughter-in-law Sandra, The family wished to thank the staff of both Sunrise Senior Living and Heartland Hospice for their compassionate care.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 29th at 11:00 am at Riverside Park United Methodist Church with the Reverend Chris McNeill officiating. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the American Parkinson’s Disease Association, 135 Parkinson Avenue, Staten Island, NY.
