RALEY, Mary Halbert Baker (lovingly called M.H.) 89, passed away, Tuesday, June 14 at the Orange Park Medical Center. Born in Florence, AL, she was the daughter of Clarence and Serrill Baker. A long-time resident of Jacksonville and St. Augustine, Mrs. Raley resided in Green Cove Springs. She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Lawrence Raley, her son Michael (Patty) Raley, grandchildren, Marianne (John Blade) Raley, Christopher Raley and great-grandchildren, Kaia Raley-Blade and Gatenby Raley-Blade, a brother Henry (Carolyn) Booth, sister Alice Kneeves, niece Bebe (Fred) Geisler (St. Augustine), nephew Baker (Anna) Harrell (Edgewater), and sister, Serrill Baker Harrell (deceased). M.H. loved sculpture, painting, gardening and music. As a member of the Episcopal church, M. H. sang in church choirs of St. Paul (Jax.) and Grace Church (Gainesville, Ga.). She was a former member of the Riverside Women’s Club. She was happiest gathering shells at the beach, visiting her beloved NC mountains and celebrating with friends. Services will be held at the Episcopal Church of Our Saviour on Mandarin Road at 2:00 pm on Friday, June 17th. Visitation will be Thursday, June 16th from 6:00 pm-8:00 pm at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home of Mandarin, 11801 San Jose, Jacksonville, FL 32223. Interment will be at the Mandarin Cemetery.
