Mary Copeland Parham, at the age 90, went home to Heaven to reunite with her husband, Harold, and son, Will, on March 13, 2017. Mary, the daughter of the late Doctor and Mrs. Silas Morgan Copeland, was born in Jacksonville, Florida on June 24, 1926. She graduated from Robert E. Lee in 1944 and attended Florida State College for Women (FSU). Mary devoted her life to her family and church. She enjoyed serving in many capacities at the Ortega Methodist Church where she was a member most of her adult life. Mary was an active member of the Stokesia Garden Circle, Ortega Methodist Church, Women’s Circle and several Bible Study Groups.
Mary’s gracious, generous, loving and selfless personality will always be remembered by her friends and family. She was truly a lovely Christian lady who practiced what she preached.
Mary is predeceased by her husband of 62 years, Harold, her son, Will, and all of her siblings. She is survived by her daughter Mary P. Burnett, her son-in law Lane, daughter-in law Cheryl and six grandchildren- William H. Parham III, Christine Parham, Victoria Burnett, Caitlin Burnett, Brie Burnett and Anne Parham.
Funeral services will be held at 11am on Saturday, March 25th, 2017 at the Ortega Methodist Church with a reception to follow. The family will receive friend’s one hour prior to the service. A private Interment will be held in Oaklawn Cemetery.
