Mary Elizabeth Hunt Moyer

Mary was born on January 9, 1931 in O’Brien, Florida to William Elvin Hunt and Bertha Richardson Hunt. She graduated from Landon High School in 1949, where she was a Landon Lionette. Mary was married to her loving husband, Greig Moyer for 49 years, until his death in 1999. She was also predeceased by her brother William Hunt.

She is survived by her sister, Hazel Martin and 5 children; Greig Moyer (Pam), Jan Partridge (Peter Maguire), Glenn Moyer (Stephanie), Gary Moyer (Liz) and Grant Moyer, all who reside in Jacksonville, Florida.

She leaves 6 grandchildren; Merritt Partridge (Kasey), Lance Partridge (Alex), Alex Tilger (Jessica), Meghan Tilger, Shane Moyer, Mallory Moyer, Kelsey Brown and 8 great- grandchildren.

Mary was a longtime member of Mandarin Presbyterian Church for over 50 years, where she volunteered for many years with the Meals on Wheels Ministry. She also was actively involved in the same Mandarin bowling league for over 60 years. Mary truly enjoyed gardening, traveling and loved football, especially the Florida Gators and Jacksonville Jaguars.

The Visitation will be held Monday, September 27, 2021 from 6-8pm at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home, Mandarin Chapel, 11801 San Jose Blvd. Jacksonville, FL.

A Service will be held, Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at 11:00am at Mandarin Presbyterian Church, 2501 Loretta Road, Jacksonville, FL.

The private family burial will take place later at Oaklawn Cemetery.
