Mary Salah Hassan

HASSAN - Mary Salah Hassan, 83, passed away May 9, 2021. She was born in Ramallah, Palestine on May 19, 1937. She immigrated to the United States in 1961 and lived in Detroit, Michigan for six years, before moving to Jacksonville, Florida, where she made a permanent home with her husband Karim and their five children. She was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church and a member of the Ramallah American Club.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband Karim, and beloved son Sammy, as well as her parents, Salem and Nijmeh Salah, three brothers, Boulos, Butros and Naim Salah and two sisters Naimeh Mashni and Nabiha Warra.

She is survived by a sister, Siham Dudum, a daughter Shereen Aneed (Sam), three sons, Isa (Eva), Stevie and Badie, five grandchildren, Ryan Aneed, Danielle Swendsen (David), Jonathan Aneed, Nicole and Leah Hassan and one great-grandaughter, Sadie Swendsen.

Visitation will be Friday, May 14, 2021, at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 6320 Bennett Rd., Jacksonville, Florida at 10:00 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery.
