Mary Josephine Harbin, 84, passed away on Wednesday, December 31, 2014. She married her high school sweetheart Bob Harbin on 8-10-1951. Together they served Southern Baptist churches in Texas, Wyoming, and Florida. Music was her passion. She was a bell ringer for over 50 years, A Faithful member of the church choir at Ortega Baptist, Southside Baptist, and Hendricks Avenue Baptist churches, and taught piano lessons for over 60 years. She was a loyal loving wife and mother. She was her children's and grandchildren's biggest fan. She enjoyed the beach, hunting for sharks teeth and seashells. She had a Green thumb and cared diligently for all her plants. As she attended Baylor University she loved rooting for her Baylor Bears. She is survived by her loving husband Bob Harbin, son Joe Harbin his wife Susan, daughter Janet Brafford her husband Ron, 3 grandchildren- Andrew 10, Tindell 8 and Parker Grace 14 months. The family will receive friends from four o’clock until six o’clock in the evening on Sunday, January 4, 2015 at The Oaklawn Chapel. Funeral services will be held at one o’clock in the afternoon on Monday, January 5, 2015 at Southside Baptist Church, with Rev. Gary Webber officiating. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. HARDAGE-GIDDENS, THE OAKLAWN CHAPEL, 4801 San Jose Boulevard is serving the family.
