Mary Virginia Faulkner, age 81, of Jacksonville, FL was welcomed into Heaven on Sunday, March 2, 2014 feeling the full love of her family. She was born one of 5 children to Robert and Mattie Arender on April 30, 1932 in Aiken, South Carolina. She graduated from Graniteville High School, class of 1950, and married Jack S. Faulkner on August 30, 1954. Mary and Jack had almost 60 years together dedicated to the Lord, one another, and their family. Mary Virginia lived to serve, whether for her family, friends, or the Lord. She enjoyed seeing friends and family as often as possible. What really made her laugh and smile was raising and spending time with her family for whom, through the years, she tirelessly loved, taught, prayed, guided and cooked. Mary Virginia also worked many years as an Ophthalmic Assistant at the offices of Dr. Wolchok, M.D. and always enjoyed caring for many patients through the years. She is survived by her husband, Jack Sr.; two sons, Jack Jr. (Patti) and Bryan (Kathy); two daughters, Susan Faulkner (Don) and Cindy Clark (Bob); 7 grandchildren (Michael, Mary E., Ansley, Brandon, Amy, Hunter and Ethan); and 5 great grandchildren (Gabriel, Autumm, Emily, Mason, and Spencer). The family will receive friends from 6pm to 8pm Tuesday, March 4th at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home of Mandarin. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, March 6th at Deermeadows Baptist Church, 9780 Baymeadows Road, Jacksonville, FL. Interment will be held at 2pm at Oaklawn Cemetery.
