ELLISON: Mary Delores (Lois) Ellison, passed from this Earthly world, and moved on to live with OUR LORD IN HEAVEN on February 17th, 2015 at the age of 82. She has joined her Husband, Thomas Jackson (Jack) Ellison, who made that same journey some 20 years earlier, on September 10th, 1994 when he was only 64. Lois Ellison was born on October 19th, 1932 in Wallace Alabama to the late Lilly Bell, and William Levi Reed. She was the 8th of the Reed’s 9 children, and with her passing, only her little brother, George Reed, of Cleveland Georgia, remains to represent their generation. Lois met and married the Love of Her Life, Jack Ellison, in December of 1950, when she was barely 18 years old, and he had just turned 21. Jack Ellison was serving in the United States Air Force at the time, as he and Lois began their 44 year LOVE LIFE together that ended with Jack’s death in 1994. During those 44 years together, Jack and Lois traveled the world as the United States Air Force transferred them from military base, to military base, creating memories, making friends, and building a large family as they did so. Over time, Lois gave birth to 6 Sons: Eric, Jack, Greg, Robert, Mark, and Glenn, and raised them to adulthood. They used to joke that they had a “LIVING SOUVENIR FROM EVERY BASE THEY HAD LIVED AT FOR MORE THAN 9 MONTHS.” Through those 6 Sons, Jack and Lois, brought about the creation of 27 Grandchildren, and 24 Great-Grandchildren. SO FAR 66 people exist in this world because of Jack and Lois Ellison. 66 people to serve THE LORD. There is an old proverb that “GOD CREATED LIFE”, and that “GOD’S PURPOSE FOR THAT LIFE, IS THE CREATION OF MORE LIFE.” Judging by that proverb, Jack and Lois Ellison “CLEARLY OBEYED GOD’S WILL THROUGH THE CREATION OF THOSE 66 LIVES, AND THE LIVES OF HUNDREDS MORE OF THEIR DESCENDANTS THAT HAVE NOT YET BEEN BORN.” Jack and Lois Ellison were Christians who firmly believed in JESUS CHRIST.Both Jack and Lois were longstanding, and faithful members of First Baptist Church of Jacksonville. Graveside Services for Lois Ellison will be held at the Riverside Memorial Park Cemetery on Friday, February 20th, 2015 at 2:00 pm. Funeral arrangements are under the care fo Hardage-Giidens Town & Country Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205, www.townandcountryfuneralhome.com
