Mary Ann Burnette, 61 died on Wednesday, October 9, 2019 at Shands UF Hospital in Gainesville, Florida. She was born in Jacksonville, Florida and was the youngest of three children. She graduated from Robert E. Lee High School and was a member of Lake Shore Baptist Church. Mary Ann was preceded in death by her parents, James and Mary Burnette and half - brother, Jimmy Burnette (Linda). She is survived by her sister, Nancy Mikell (Frank), brother, Andy Burnette (Deborah), half-sister, Claudia Borkenheim (Dickie), Uncle Pete Marine (Kay), several nieces and nephews and beloved cousins. She will be remembered for her sweet smile, her love of God, the Phoenix Suns, her avid reading of the Florida Times Union and most of all the words and music of Carole King. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, November 7, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at the Lake Shore Baptist Church, 2365 Blanding Boulevard, Jacksonville, Florida with the Reverend Ron Dempsey officiating.
