Mary Everett Blanton, age 70, passed away on September 29, 2018. Mary was born in Maryville, TN on July 28, 1948 to Sampson Dewey Everett and Ernestine Edwina Everett. She was a member of Hope Baptist Church, and was a loving and faithful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Mary will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Mary is preceded in death by her parents, Sampson and Ernestine Everett; and her brothers Buddy, Gerald, and Jimmy Everett. She is survived by her loving and faithful husband of 50 years, John Blanton, SR.; beloved son John Blanton, Jr.; her granddaughters Javona and Sydney Blanton; great-granddaughter, Skyler; brother Gary Everett; sisters Pat Harrod, and Sandra Cooper (Jimmy); and also survived by her brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Hardage-Giddens Riverside Memorial Park and Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home on Tuesday, October 2, 2018.
