Mary Frances Allison

Mary Frances Allison, age 96, passed away on December 15, 2023. She was born on December 16, 1926, in Greenville, Florida but moved to Georgia as a child. She met the love of her life while he was stationed at Moody Air Force Base, Georgia. In 1947 they moved to Jacksonville.

Mary was employed with State Farm Insurance for 33 years and retired in 1989. She was a member of Southside Chapter 28, Order of the Eastern Star and Khem Temple Daughters of the Nile, but her most beloved affiliation was her church, Southpoint Baptist Church, where she was an active member for many years.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, William Allison, her brothers Joe Tomlinson and Bobby Bennet, her sister Nell Adams, and her parents Joe Tomlinson and Lorena (Isbon) Bennet.

Mary is survived by her daughter Beth Davenport and her grandson Ryan (Dannielle) Davenport.

A visitation for Mary will be held Friday, December 22, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Hardage-Giddens Chapel Hills Funeral Home, 850 St Johns Bluff Road North, Jacksonville, FL 32225. A funeral service will occur Friday, December 22, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, 850 St Johns Bluff Road North, Jacksonville, FL 32225. A committal service will occur Friday, December 22, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at Chapel Hills Memory Gardens, 850 St Johns Bluff Road North, Jacksonville, FL 32225.
