Martha Gordon Russey Pierce, 79, of Jacksonville, FL passed away Monday, April 12, 2021. She was born in Anniston, AL on January 2, 1942 and graduated from Englewood High School. Martha Gordon Russey Pierce retired as an accountant for the Florida Times Union. She was on the Board of AHCA and was a volunteer at Pine Castle & Special Olympics for 35+ years. Martha managed a Special Needs Bowling League with 70+ members for 39 years and remained involved with her Alumni class of “60” Englewood High School. She is preceded in death by her daughter Linda M. Pierce and niece Susan Newton. Martha is survived by her children Teresa “Terri” P. (Curtis) Free, Risden H. Pierce, nephews Neal (Patrick) Harrelson, Gordon (Kathleen) Harrelson, grandchildren Walter “Buddy” A. (Chris) Tillis, John M. Janssens, Bryan W. (Kaley) Volkmann II, Amy L. (Amanda) Cummings, Reed L. Tillis IV, Amy M. Senear, Anna M. (Ernest) Rowe, as well as 11 great-grandchildren. Hardage-Giddens Greenlawn Funeral Home, 4300 Beach Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32207 is serving the family. A memorial service will be held in her honor on Saturday, May 8, 2021 beginning at 2:00pm at All Souls Anglican Church, 4042 Harley Rd., Jacksonville, FL 32257. A graveside service is immediately following at Greenlawn Cemetary at 4300 Beach Blvd.
