Martha Hewlett

Martha Hewlett, 82, passed away on June 22, 2012. She was born in Wilmington, NC to the late Harold and Theresa Hooper. She graduated from New Hanover High School in Wilmington and Mercy Hospital School of Nursing in Charlotte, NC.

Martha and her husband, Will, moved from Wilmington to Jacksonville in 1960. She retired from Blue Cross/Blue Shield after 33 years of service. She was a member of Episcopal Church of Our Saviour in Jacksonville.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 61 years, William S. Hewlett; beloved son, Jeff Hewlett and daughter-in-law, Cathy.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, June 26th in Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home of Mandarin. The Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 27th in Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home of Mandarin with The Rev. Dr. John Palarine as Officiant, followed by interment in Mandarin Cemetery.
