
It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our loved one, Martha Brenda Harrison Greengrass. Brenda was born on October 15, 1948, in Athens, Georgia, the identical twin of Linda Yonge, to Norm and Liz Harrison. She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness and unforgettable memories.
She is survived by her daughter Beth Gandy (Josh), grandsons Tyler (Cara), Gavin (Bailey), Jacob and Sawyer. A great granddaughter Amelia and a great grandson Matthew. In addition she leaves behind her sisters Dianne Lott (Tony), Debbie Johnson (Mark) and Elaine Akin (Barry) and our "adopted brother" Coleman Dukes of Loomis, CA., nephews Tony, Barry, Nicholas and niece Whitney and several great nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her cat, Jet, who was lovingly adopted by Nancy Lester.
She was predeceased by her parents Norm and Liz Harrison, her twin sister Linda and her nephew Kyle Johnson.
Brenda grew up in Jacksonville. She and Linda were in the first graduating class of Samuel Wolfson High School (1966). She continued her education at South Georgia Junior College before transferring to the University of Georgia.
She was a very devoted UGA Football fan. If the "The Dawgs" football game was being televised she was right there cheering them on.
In May of 1970 she joined Delta Airlines in Jacksonville as part of the Customer Care team. She transferred to the Atlanta office of Delta in 1993 and retired from there after 35 years of devoted service. During her career at Delta she made many lifelong friends.
Her retirement was spent gardening, reading, traveling and spending time with family and friends.
Brenda's memory will be honored with a private graveside service on Saturday, April 19, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at Oaklawn Cemetery, Jacksonville, Florida.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Salvation Army of Northeast Florida.
