Marjorie A. Mott was born August 21, 1931 in New London, Connecticut and lived most of her life in Jacksonville, FL. She died peacefully on February 2, 2020, at Haven Hospice, Orange Park, FL. Margie met her husband, William H Mott, at Great Lakes Training Center, IL, while both were serving in the Navy.
She is preceded in death by her husband, her son, William E. Mott; and grandson, Christopher Van Vactor. Margie is survived by her children, Holly (Don), Cherry (Jim), Laurel, Iris, Jimmy (Senka) Robin (Mary); 18 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is Monday, February 10, 2020 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., at Hardage-Giddens Riverside Memorial Park and Funeral Home 7242 Normandy Blvd. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 11, 11:00 a.m. at St. Catherine's Episcopal Church on Shelby Ave, with burial at Riverside Memorial Park and a reception at the church following the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Catherine's Episcopal Church, Haven Hospice, or The Jacksonville Humane Society.
