Margie Vera Hingson

Margie Vera Hingson (94) went home to be with the Lord on April 2, 2015. Margie was born on September 7, 1920 in Bryceville, Florida, daughter of the late Arthur Walton Hunt and the former Annie Jane Davis. Margie is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Marvin Ellis Hingson. She is survived by: her two children, Linda Gail Tarkington (Robert) and Marvin Dale Hingson; two grandchildren, Jana Reid (Jason) and Lee Carter; three great grandchildren, Ashlynne, Morgan, and Dalton; one sister, Lillie Mae Ayer; numerous nieces and nephews and a faithful lifelong friend, Velma Weeks. Margie was a faithful member of Old Plank Road Baptist Church since 1985 and dearly loved her church family. She was known for her sweet and loving spirit, her quick whit, her eagerness to always lend a helping hand, and her love for singing and making music with friends and family. She loved with all her heart and was loved by all who knew her. She will be dearly missed. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., on Tuesday April7, 2015 at Old Plank Road Baptist Church, 8964 Old Plank Road, Jacksonville, FL 32220. Funeral services will also be held at the church on Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Larry McGinley officiating. Interment to follow at Riverside Memorial Park.
