Margaret Ellen Boney White

Margaret Ellen Boney White, surrounded by her loving family, went home to be with the Lord Sunday, September 1, 2024. She was born on March 22, 1940 to the late Joe Brown Boney and Esther Hoffman Boney in China Hill, Georgia. Margaret was a graduate of Andrew Jackson class of 1958. Margaret was always active in her church home, where she ministered to the youth and young adults and helped her sister serve supper before Wednesday night services. Margaret retired from Sabal Palm Elementary School where she was the Bookkeeper for 27 years. While at Sabal Palm Elementary, she worked as an assistant in the aftercare program where she loved to tell stories and share her collection of dolls and stuffed animals with all the children. She was voted Employee of the Year in 1993. Margaret is survived by her two children whom she loved dearly: Norman White Jr. (Kathy) and Cindy Van Nelson (Chip). Margaret has six precious Grandchildren: Dalton Gatewood (Madison), Courtney Kozak (Rob), Jennifer Deal (Richard), Jeffery Moore (Michaela), Brittany Church (Ian proceeded her in death in 2024), Bruce Van Nelson and twelve Great Grandchildren: Leon, Elena, Dustin, Evan, Belle, Chrislee, Theran, Delylah, Iris, Charlie, Declan, and Cora. Margaret also has 3 sisters, Rebecca Boney Carter proceeded her in death in 2023 (Charles), Linda Boney Johnson (Wendell), Sally Ann Boney Brady (Sonny), along with several nephews, nieces and a lot of cousins. Visitation will be held at Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home Wednesday, September 11, 2024 from 5:00pm-7:00pm. A service will be held to celebrate her life in the Chapel of Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home, 940 Cesery Boulevard, Thursday, September 12, 2024 at 11:00am. Graveside service to follow at Evergreen Cemetery. No words can adequately express the profound impact Margaret made on so many lives. Her family and friends will miss her dearly.
