Margaret Carolyn Ragland

Margaret Carolyn Ragland, 81, passed away on November 25, 2012. Born in Arkadelphia, AR to the late Benjamin and Willie Thornton Meador, she was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Carolyn was a member of Fruit Cove Baptist Church and retired from teaching after many years in the Duval County School System. She is survived by her devoted husband of 59 years, Charles F. Ragland; children, Chuck Ragland (Mae Beth), Jim Ragland (Teri); Jeanie Nordstrom (Bruce) and Mary Stadius (Jimmy); sisters, Dorothy Lovell Carter and Jean Howard; 11 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren and one on the way; along with many other family members and friends.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 29th at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home of Mandarin. The Celebration of Carolyn s Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 30th at Fruit Cove Baptist Church, 501 SR 13, Saint Johns, FL 32259 with Dr. Timothy Maynard as Officiant. Graveside service will be held in Arlington Park Cemetery at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, November 30, 2012.

Memorial contributions in Carolyn s name may be made to the Mission Fund of Fruit Cove Baptist Church or to Community Hospice of NE FL.
