Margaret Drew Brundick (86) passed away on April14, 2023. She was born at Riverside Hospital, Jacksonville, Florida on July 14, 1936. She was the daughter of Jessie Sevier de Belle and Hodson Drew. She was a direct descendent of John Sevier, the first Governor of Tennessee, and Columbus Drew, one of the founders of the city of Jacksonville. Mrs. Brundick graduated from Robert E. Lee High School and attended Marjorie Webster Junior College in Washington D.C. She was a former member of the Junior League of Jacksonville, the Florida Yacht Club, and St. Mark’s Episcopal Church. In August 1977, Mrs. Brundick suffered a debilitating stroke.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Tesch Brundick, as well as her sister, Sherwood Hodson Drew Robinson, and her brothers, Horace Drew, Eugene Hodson Drew, Jr., Edward de Belle Drew, and their wives, and granddaughter Allison Brundick Haramis.
She is survived by her 3 daughters: Margaret Drew Brundick Haramis (Lee), Susan Tesch Brundick Oehler (Mike), and Julia Hodson Brundick Patterson (Ian), 4 grandchildren, Lee Stathis Haramis, Jr., Raechel Tesch Hawkins Quiroz, Jessie Drew Hawkins, Hodson Dorscheid Wood, 4 great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and Godchildren.
A funeral to celebrate Margaret’s life will be held at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, 4129 Oxford Avenue Jacksonville, Florida on Monday, April 24 at 10:30 a.m. Following the funeral service will be a committal service at 1:00 PM at Evergreen Cemetery, 4535 N Main St, Jacksonville, FL 32206.
In lieu of flowers, gifts in loving memory of Margaret can be made to The Allison Brundick Haramis Foundation, the Jacksonville Humane Society, or St. Mark’s Episcopal Church.
