Lou Lynne Griffin, 51, returned to her heavenly home on February 17th, 2016 after a valiant battle with Hodgkins Lymphoma cancer. Her devotion to her family and her firm belief in Jesus supported her in her struggle and ultimately gave her peace.
Lou Lynne was born to the late Alton Moss and Jeanette Mosley. She was immersed in the Christian community that would be her lifelong support from an early age.
Lou Lynne was blessed with a large and loving family. She married her best friend Donnie Ray Griffin on November 8, 1986 in Rocky Mount, NC at Rocky Mount Baptist Church. Lou Lynne helped raise her three daughters with patience, discipline and laughter. She taught them how to enjoy life and not take it so seriously. Just be happy. From the very beginning, she dedicated getting children to God and encouraged them to explore the beauty of the gospels.
Lou Lynne was a fighter at heart. She was kind, silly, vivacious, and always had time to listen, answer a question or solve a problem, no matter how big or small. She is dearly missed by her loved ones, who celebrate the fact that she is finally at peace with her creator.
Lou Lynne is survived by her husband, Donnie Griffin; her daughters Christian Griffin, Hanna Smith and Sara Czechowski; son–in-laws Nathanael Smith and Scottie Czechowski; her grandchildren Kingsley Nicholas, Kohley Smith, Harper Smith and Weston Czechowski; her sister Kim Jernigan and brother Butch Moss; her stepdad David Mosley; stepmom Barbara Moss; and in-laws Odie and Judy Griffin.
A gathering of friends and family will be held from 5-7pm at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home of Mandarin with a Lou Lynne’s service beginning at 7pm. Pastor Josh will officiate the service. If you wish to donate, please donate to Celebration Church ministries in Lou Lynne's name.
