Lorraine Shaw Neustadtl Morgan

Lorraine Shaw Neustadtl Morgan, 91, of Jacksonville, Florida passed away on September 9, 2017 after a brief illness. Mrs. Morgan was born in Jacksonville, Florida on October 23, 1925 to the late Fredrick Louis and Louise Eugenie Bodie Neustadtl, originally of New Orleans, Louisiana. Lorraine spent her youth in the Springfield neighborhood and was the second-youngest of 12 children, seven of them girls. She became the beloved wife of the late Ross Harry Morgan, Jr. in 1949 and together they raised five children in Arlington. Lorraine is remembered as a generous, gregarious, hospitable and gracious lady. She joins her son, Ross Harry Morgan, III. and beloved husband, JR in Heaven. She is survived by four children, Gordon Morgan, Darnell Babbit (Jim), Betty Carantza (Pete), and James Morgan (Char); her four adoring grandchildren, Ross Babbit (Lisa), Alex Carantza, Jessica Stevenson (Nick) and Joshua Morgan; and three great grandchildren, Leonidas, Nicholas and Penelope Lorraine Stevenson; as well as her sister, Joy. May her memory be eternal. Lorraine’s life will be celebrated on Monday, September 18th at 1 p.m. in Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home of Mandarin. Burial service will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery, 4300 Beach Blvd. Jacksonville, Florida. The family sends their thanks to friends who have expressed sympathy for the loss of our dear mother.
