Lorraine Leverone Giordano, 94, of Jacksonville, Florida passed away on November 19, 2022. She was born in New York, New York on August 21, 1928. She was married to her, neighborhood sweetheart and first and only love, the late Anthony Francis Giordano for 55 years until his death. . Lorraine graduated from St. Joseph’s College for Women with a degree in education. She was a math teacher until she retired to raise her family. Lorraine and her husband lived in New York until they moved to Jacksonville, Florida in 1968. She and her husband then founded American RAD, Inc. in 1980, where she worked until she retired in 2018.
Those who knew Lorraine well found her to be devoted, patient, and selfless. Lorraine was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and trusted friend to many. Lorraine’s faith and her family were the most important things in her life. She was active in her children’s schools and her church.
Lorraine was an enthusiastic bridge player, and late in life, a member of an investment club, book club and movie club. She always enjoyed a good book and a movie which she would regularly attend with her friends.
Lorraine was predeceased by her loving husband Anthony Francis Giordano and her daughter-in-law, Clare Giordano. She is survived by her children, Glenn Giordano (Diane), John Giordano (Ruth), Anthony Joseph Giordano (Margaret), Paul Giordano and Mary Crittenden (Bobby); her grandchildren, Elizabeth Mackie (Ben), Mallory Curtin (Scott), Samuel Giordano (Callie), Julia Giordano, Gregory Giordano, Andrew Giordano, Margo Giordano, Catherine Giordano, Matthew Giordano, Georgia Crittenden, Meg Crittenden and John Robert Crittenden; and her great grandchildren, Mercer Mackie, Bradley Mackie, Abby Curtin, Olivia Curtin, and Emmett Giordano.
A funeral mass will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church, 9800 Baymeadows Road, Jacksonville, Florida 32256, on Saturday, January 14, 2023, at 12:00 p.m., followed by a celebration of life at the Holy Family Parish Hall.
