Lonnie K. Russell, 76, passed away Tuesday, September 22, 2015 in Jacksonville, FL. He was born May 3, 1939 to Randall and Minnie Russell in Deland, FL. Lonnie was a truck driver for many years and thoroughly loved his job. He also enjoyed watching western movies with Randolph Scott and John Wayne. He is preceded in death by 1 son Donnie K. Russell as well as 1 brother and 6 sisters. Lonnie is survived by his wife of 39 years Ms. Ellie, 3 sons James Tillman Russell (David), Gary C. Russell, C. Matthew (Carolyn) Hobbs, 3 daughters Cindy Blais, Teresa (Jimmy) Ferguson, Molli (Scott) Collins, 15 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends as well as 3 beloved dogs. A visitation for friends will be held in the chapel on Friday, October 2, 2015 from 6-8pm at Hardage-Giddens Town & Country Funeral Home. Funeral services to be held in the chapel on Saturday, October 3, 2015 at 11am with interment following at Riverside Memorial Park. Pastor Steve Mouzon officiating.
