Lloyd Eston Slonecker, 93, went to be with the Lord on Friday, June 17, 2011. Retired Chief Petty Officer in the U.S. Navy for 30 years. Survivors include his loving wife of 66 years, Ruth Abigail Slonecker, 2 sons, Ronald Lloyd Slonecker (Shirley) and Michael Louis Slonecker (Patty), 2 daughters, Ina Lynne Bohannon and Lois Ann Casey (Dennis), 8 grandchildren, Michael, Kelly Ann, Stephanie, Ginny, Brian, Katie, Brendan and Rachel and 2 great-grandchildren, Thane and Dylan. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 22nd, 2011 in the Chapel of Hardage-Giddens Town and Country Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd. Interment will be at a later date at Jacksonville National Cemetery with Military Honors. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening, June 21st, 2011 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
