Lisa Ann Jarrell

Lisa passed away Friday, January 20, 2023 with family by her side. Lisa was a Jacksonville native, born August 8, 1966 to Sharon and William Ortagus.

Lisa graduated from Englewood High School in 1984 and pursued a career as a corporate buyer for Stein Mart for several years before becoming a stay at home mom.

Lisa was a beautiful soul with a smile to match. Lisa always enjoyed a good beach day or hanging pool side at her sister Dorothy’s house with family and friends. She will be remembered for her fiery but oh so loving and fun personality, her amazing cooking, including her famous Chicken Alfredo and Homemade Lasagna, and her never ending love for her children and grandchildren.

Lisa is preceded in death by her mother Sharon and by her father William Ortagus best known as Billy O.

Lisa is survived by her children, Trey Jarrell, Apryl Jarrell, Nicole (Paul) Self all of Jacksonville, FL; Grandbabies, Tripp and Tucker Self; her sister Dorothy (David) Bass of Jacksonville, FL; three brothers, Marcus (Jennifer) Ortagus, Jimmy (Andy) Ortagus both of Murrells Inlet, South Carolina, and Glen (Tammy) Ortagus of Nicholson, Georgia; and her longtime loving companion Greg Christopher; along with a number of nieces and nephews.

A Graveside Service will be held Thursday, February 2, 2023 at 2:00pm at Greenlawn Cemetery. Followed by a gathering to share wonderful memories, at one of Lisa’s favorite places, her sister’s home. All are welcome to join.
