Born October 30, 1990 to her parents, Tad and Gisela Griffin, at Riverside Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida, Lindsay grew up in the famous Shady Grove Road “cul-de-sac” section of Deerwood. She had many friends who enjoyed her fun loving spirit and energy. She had a knack for being good at everything she tried, including youth soccer (nickname “Rocket”) and later photography. She graduated high school from Darlington School in Rome, Georgia and then briefly attended the University of North Florida in Jacksonville. She worked at various occupations including nannying and portrait photography. She loved the beach and skiing with her family in Eagle, Colorado. The family is heartbroken that she lost her 16 year battle with depression and anorexia but know she is now at the peace she was not able to find on Earth.
Lindsay leaves behind her parents, Lee T. “Tad” Griffin and Gisela Marie Griffin, and her two siblings, Patrick McGuire Griffin and Emily Margot Griffin (Fields Harris).
A Lantern Release was held by her friends at the beach on November 15, 2022. The family will also hold a private ceremony in the coming weeks. If you wish, donations may be made to either The Charis House (bringyourbrokenness.com) or Project Heal at theprojectheal.org. Both organizations deal with eating disorders.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.greenlawnjacksonville.com for the Griffin family.
