Linda Diane Whitney, age 59, went to be with her Lord and Savior September 7, 2014 in Jacksonville, FL. Linda was born September 22, 1954 in Jacksonville, Florida to William H. Burke Sr. and Betty Delores (Bass) Whitney. When she was younger she enjoyed roller skating. Linda also enjoyed fishing. Linda will be missed dearly by her loving husband of 41 years Dee Whitney; her daughter Brandie Chapella; mother Betty D. Addington; brothers Jimmy Burke, William H Burke Jr.(Judy), Raymond Eddie Burke, and Michael Burke; sisters Ola Lawanda Thigpin (William), Nancy Drake (Jerry) , and Alta Marie Pringle (Stacy); one granddaughter. Family will receive friends and family Saturday, September 13, 2014 from 2:00 – 3:00 pm at Hardage-Giddens Town & Country Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205. Graveside services will follow visitation at 3:00 pm at Riverside Memorial Park Cemetery.
