Born in Jacksonville, Florida on February 12, 1950, she called her birthplace home for the duration of her life. She was a banker by trade, where she achieved the position of Vice-President. In this position, she used her natural sociability to touch and better the lives of those around her. She worked diligently to support her family and build relationships with the community at large. Linda will be remembered, treasured, and loved by those in her life for her deep faith, her passion for horses, and her love of her family and friends.
She is survived by her loving husband Blair Guy, son Jerry Strickland, daughter Tara (Chris) Browning, stepdaughters Kristina Guy and Kathy-Jo (John) Higgins, stepson Blair (Michaela) Guy, II., grandchildren Cody, Hannah, Jeremiah, Dorian, Pete, Angel, Robby, Alex, Kaitlin, Erin, Julia, Danielle, Heaven, Skye, Johnny, Morgan, and Ryan, great-grandchildren Dezrah, Beckett, Riley, Slayter, Jagger, Noah, Amelia, brother James, several nieces and nephews, and her precious dachshunds Chloe and Emily. She is preceded in death by her father James Farris, mother Velma Farris, and brother Mark Farris.
The family will receive friends at Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home at 940 Cesery Boulevard on April 6, 2024, from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. and funeral services from 11 a.m. until 12 p.m. with Reverend Terry Collins officiating.
