CONNOR-WADDINGTON I am the oldest daughter, 2nd born out of 3 children born to Linda Gail Connor-Waddington. I am honored take a moment and tell you about the life of our incredible mother. It's a life that should be celebrated and remembered as one filled with loud laughter, tons of spunk and tremendous amount of love! Our mother passed away peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday morning June 7, 2016 at her residence in Satsuma, FL at the age of 70 after battling cancer for 3 1/2 years. Linda was born on August 22, 1945 in Jacksonville, FL to the parents of Giovanni John J. Sgueglia and Josephine Scaro Sgueglia at St. Vincent hospital. She is the youngest of four daughters and from what we have been told since he was the baby she was the spoiled one, as this continued to her last day. Mom attended Landon High School in Jacksonville, Fl. She was a young bride at the age of 19 then shortly afterwards had the three of us each 3 years apart, Michael, Stephanie & Barbara. Mom was a house wife that raised the three of us keeping all in active in either sports or other activities. Our house was always full with the neighborhood kids doing one thing or another. Anyone who knew our mother the Italian MA knows she was full of spunk & energy, she was lenient in most all situations, basically a push over, so naturally everyone loved her and always remembered her. When were in our teenager years she went to work as a bartender at local establishments such as the Moose Lodge, Elks & American Legions. From this she interacted with the members and had a love for dancing, which became her passion and hobby. She then joined the Shag Association and the Beach boob club. Shortly after joining these clubs she felt at home in them and there wasn't a dance out there that she could pickup and master. From the beginning to her last days everyone LOVED to watch her and could not take their eyes off her not dance but glide across the dance floor. Our mother was born to be a Mother and a grandmother and lately a great grandmother. Anyone of us could call her with a concern or question needing a suggestion or answer in parenting either with a newborn, a toddler a teenager or even an adult, and she had an answer that was right on. I will remember her simply as MA because she was just that. So I celebrate her life with you today as she leaves behind her husband Luther Harold Waddington, a sister Lorraine Harris and son Michael A. VanFossen daughter in law Debra G. VanFossen 2 Daughters , Stephanie V. Striplin, son in law Russell H. Striplin Barbara V.
