Linda was born in Atlanta, Georgia on August 30, 1948. She graduated from Southwest High School in 1967. She married soon after and had her daughter, Laura, who was the love of her life. After winning her first battle with cancer at the age of 24, she began her most important job as a stay-at-home mother. She later went on to earn a degree in Interior Design from Florida State College of Jacksonville. She received her degree with honors. Linda had several jobs outside the home throughout her life; however, the most notable was her position at a local design firm where she was able to use her education and talents. Her last and most honorable job was caring for her parents in their final years.
Linda enjoyed water skiing and high diving as a teenager. She was very creative and could sew or build anything. She enjoyed dancing, gardening, bird watching, and spending time with her family. She also started a bridge group that has met every month for almost 40 years. They were like her second family.
Linda was the true definition of a “Southern Belle”. She was full of class and grace. She was loved by all and her smile could light up a room.
Linda is preceded in death by her parents, Herbert Eugene Galloway Jr. and Josie Odom Galloway.
Linda is survived by her brother, Herbert Eugene Galloway III and his wife, Margaret Holmes Galloway; daughter, Laura Lee Bondoc and her husband, Lawrence Eric Bondoc.
