Levy T. Santos, 76, passed away peacefully in Jacksonville, Florida on July 21st, 2023. He was born on September 2nd, 1946, in Dau, Mabalacat-Pampanga, Philippines. He is the second child of Gloria and Antonio Santos. He’s a loving husband, father and a well respected member of the community.
Levy graduated with multiple degrees. He earned his Bachelors of Science in Education (BSE) and Business Administration (BSBA). He had a diverse and accomplished career, working as a Banker and a Bookkeeper. He later left the bank and opened a successful family business for 18 years. Thereafter, he moved to Florida where he pursued Medical Billing and Coding certification, then worked as a Billing professional until he retired. His dedication and expertise in these fields made a lasting impact on those he worked with.
Outside of his professional life, Levy was a Black Belt Master of Judo Karate, calisthenics and enjoyed playing basketball in his prime. He had a passion for travel, exploring new places and experiencing different cultures. These hobbies brought him joy and enriched his life.
Levy will be dearly missed by his loving wife of 54 years, Amelia O. Santos and his three children: Jo Anne Santos (partner Jeff Brown), Aline Cristina Santos (spouse Alan Wakefield)and Shirley Santos (spouse Zandro Mendoza) and his 4 grandchildren Michael Sullivan, Zachari, Zander and Zoie Mendoza. He is also survived by his brothers: Neofito (eldest) and Lenario (youngest). Levy's brother Bernardo, preceded him in death last April 2023.
Levy Santos will be remembered for his unwavering love for his family, his dedication to his work, and his zest for life. May his soul rest in peace.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Hardage-Giddens Chapel Hills Funeral Home on August 12th, Saturday starting at 1:00 pm for family, relatives and friends. Followed by a holy mass and final blessing at 2:30 pm until 5:00 pm.
Food and beverage will be served at the Reception. It will be held at the Hardage-Giddens Chapel Hills Funeral Home, located at 850 N St Johns Bluff Rd Jacksonville, FL 32225.
Flowers can be sent on the same day to the Reception prior to the start of the event.
