Leon Gray Mitchell, age 47, passed away Wednesday, May 15, 2013 in Jacksonville, Florida. Leon was born January 27, 1966 in Jacksonville, Florida to Delmus and Minnie (Raulerson) Mitchell. Leon had a love for motorcycles which he enjoyed spending time with his son riding and customizing. As he became unable to ride motorcycles he turned to gocarts and spent many hours racing with his grandchildren. Survivors include his wife Melody Mitchell; one son Charles “Bubba” Michael MItchell; two brothers Alan Mitchell and Roger Mitchell (Laurie); two grandchildren Jason Yarbrough and Justin Yarbrough. Family will receive family and friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at Hardage-Giddens Town & Country Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville FL 32205. Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Thursday May 23, 2013 at the funeral home with Brother Larry McGinley officiating. Interment will follow services at Riverside Memorial Park.
