Leah Bell Stokes Greene, age 91, went to be with her Lord and Savior August 20, 2015 in Jacksonville, FL. Leah was born May 26, 1924 in St. George, Georgia to Herman and Parchel (Crews) Stokes. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, one brother, and two brother-in-laws. She was raised in the Baldwin area and was a member of Wesconnect Baptist Church. She will be missed dearly by her daughters Barbara Green (Russell K. Sr.) and Debbie Ansley; son Dwight Greene; sisters Zelma Wallace (Dale), Colleen Stokes, Madeline Frost, and Ina Jean Chapman; brother Wilton Stokes; fourteen grandchildren; twenty-three great grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends and family 2:00 – 3:00 pm at Hardage- Giddens Town & Country Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205. Funeral service will follow visitation at 3:00 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be at Riverside Memorial Park Cemetery.
