Larry was a native of Jacksonville and a son of Royal Stanton and Cynthia Bowden Hall. He graduated from Andrew Jackson High School & Jacksonville University where he earned a Bachelors Degree. Additionally, Larry earned the coveted Chartered Life Underwriter Degree. Larry was also a soldier and faithfully served six years in the Army and Air Force National Guard. He retired from Prudential Insurance Company as a computer programmer. He also worked at Blue Cross and Blue Shield as a systems analyst and retired.
Larry is survived by his wife of 57 years, Mary Margaret Burnsed, daughter Cheryl Ann Hall and grandsons, Sterling Lawrence McCance and Sky Stanton Mayeux. A brother, William R. Hall (wife Pauline).
Larry is remembered as a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather. History intrigued him and his travels fueled his passion. Other interests included crossword puzzles, Jeopardy, reading, playing guitar, a wide variety of music and stamp collecting. His funny stories and jokes will be retold with lots of laughter for many years.
