Kizzie F. Davis

Kizzie F. Davis, 90, passed away Tuesday, February 11, 2014 in Jacksonville, FL. She was born November 17, 1923 to Lee and Lancy Fish in Baker County, FL. Kizzie was a long time member of Old Plank Road Baptist Church, a seamstress who loved to garden, crochet, quilt and do home canning for the family. She is preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Robert W. Davis (Bob), two brothers Ethan (Patricia) Fish, Randolph Fish, and four sisters Geneva (Lev) Harvey, Sarah Lee (Louis) Davis, Betty (J.W.) Jones, Blanche (A.J.) Mixon and Inell (Dearewood) Hicks. Kizzie is survived by two brothers, Leo (Darlene) Fish and Earl “Buster” (Linda) Fish. She is also survived by two sons George W. (Louise) Davis and Johnny (Sylvia) Davis, and one daughter Betty Jo Taylor (Jim). There are eight grandchildren Laura (Michael) Lawrence, Bobbi (Tod) Denmark, Lancy (Allan) Hinson, George Davis,Jr., Robert (Amy) Davis, Jerry (Florance) Davis, Laura (Ryan) Proffitt, Holly Fisher, and 16 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Arrangements under the care of Hardage-Giddens Town & Country Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32205. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, February 13, 2014 from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at Old Plank Road Baptist Church, 8964 Old Plank Road, Jacksonville, FL 32220. A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 14, 2014 at 10:00 A.M. at Old Plank Road Baptist Church with interment to follow at Cedar Creek Cemetery in Sanderson, FL.
