Kim was born on November 11, 1956 to the late Vasco and Erma King Wingate. She was preceded in death by her sister, Dolores Grace and brother, Owen Wingate.
Kim graduated from Edward White High School, class of 1974. She was employed by Prudential Life Insurance Co for many years before dedicating her life to raising her family. Kim was hard-working, determined and resourceful. She was known for her keen sense of humor, biting wit and an outgoing personality. Kim lived her life with passion, enjoying fast cars, her speedboat, slalom skiing and horseback riding. Yet she also loved her solitude, playing her guitar and singing, as well as baking treats for others. She was truly a unique and remarkable individual who will be sorely missed by those lives she touched.
Accepting Jesus as her personal savior in her youth at Marietta Baptist Church where she grew up, Kim later was an active member of Raiford Road Church in Macclenny, Fl.
Her greatest joy was her children, Savannah, Baxley and Beau Roberts. They all enjoyed life together on their farm in Dinsmore. She is also survived by her sister, Kirby (Norman) McCloud, her brother, Fred (Cindy) Wingate, as well as a host of lifelong friends and loved ones.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 21 at 9:00 am at Riverside Memorial Park, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, Fl 32205 with Rev. Eddie Griffis officiating. Arrangements by Hardage-Giddens Riverside Memorial Park and Funeral Home.
