Kenneth L. Swartz

Kenneth L. Swartz, 75, peacefully passed away on Monday, May 20, 2013. He was born in Sharon, PA on August 11, 1937 and has been a resident of Jacksonville for the past 2 years. After graduation from Sharpsville High School in Sharpsville PA, he honorably served 4 years in both the US Navy and US Air Force. After retiring as a small business owner, he worked part time as a security guard for Securitas Security in Jacksonville.

He is preceded in death by both parents, his sister Harriet Hunter and a son, Jason. Surviving him are 3 sons, Craig Swartz of Erie PA, Clark Swartz of Phoenix AZ and Adam Swartz of Jacksonville. He is also survived by a grandson, Kenneth Swartz of Girard PA.

The family would like to personally thank Dr.Catherine Spiker and Nurse Wendy Kenney at St. Vincent's Riverside for their unwavering moral, personal and professional support during his final hours.

The family will receive friends from 12-2:00 pm Friday, May 24, 2013 at Hardage-Giddens Chapel Hills Funeral Home, 850 St. Johns Bluff Rd. N., Jacksonville, FL. Memorial service will follow at 2:00 pm in the Chapel.
