Kenneth Roy Hipps, Jr., 85, passed away Friday, November 30, 2012. He was born on December 5, 1926 in Jacksonville, FL to the late Kenneth Roy Hipps, Sr., and Elma Shindler Hipps. He was a veteran having served in the Army during World War II. After the war he was a licensed pilot and flew out of the Mile Branch Airport near his family’s home. For most of his life he was self employed and involved with site clearing, heavy equipment, cattle, sheep and tree farming. Kenneth is preceded in death by his mother, father and sister Betty Hipps. He is survived by daughters, Audrey Campbell and Brenda Clower, brother Frank Hipps and several grand and great-grandchildren as well as nieces and nephews. The family visitation to greet friends will be held on Wednesday, December 5, 2012 from 10:00am until 11:00am in the Chapel of Hardage-Giddens Town and Country Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville, FL. 32205. Funeral Service will follow family visitation at 11:00am. Burial will be at Riverside Memorial Park Cemetery, Jacksonville, FL.
