Keith Allen Beckwith

On January 9th, 2024, Keith Allen Beckwith, passed peacefully at his home after a brief illness. Keith was born on June 5, 1977 in Jacksonville, FL. It was very evident that Keith dearly loved his family. He enjoyed watching baking shows, attempting to cook, and creating masterpieces with play-doh. We don’t know if there’s ever been a person who enjoyed holidays and family gatherings more than Keith. Through the best times and the worst times Keith always had the best smile that would light up the room. The lives that Keith touched are countless. Keith was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.

Keith was preceded in death by two of his grandparents, two aunts, and a cousin. Keith is survived by his parents, Mark and Diana Beckwith; his sister and brother-in-law Renee and Derek Kratz; nephew and niece, Caleb and Willow Kratz; grandparents Don and Joni Beckwith and Clara Lance; and numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends. We cannot forget Keith’s brother (from another mother), his most beloved caregiver and friend Michael Hurst who stayed by his side to the very end.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, January 25, 2024 at Hardage-Giddens Riverside Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. A graveside service will be held on Friday, January 26, 2024 at 10:00 AM promptly at the Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Road, Jacksonville, FL 32218. Guests are asked to arrive beginning at 9:30 AM in lane 3. A celebration of life will follow the graveside service at Rise Church, 8081 Lenox Avenue, Jacksonville, FL 32221 at 11:30 AM.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you open your hearts and donate to Michael Hurst, Keith’s caregiver for 23 years. He has a karate academy for at risk youth that he devotes a lot of his time and money too. The majority of the kids depend on donations that Michael receives in order to attend tournaments. The academy sets a foundation of self confidence, community, family and general all around kindness for yourself and one another.
