Kay O. Allen

Kay is survived by her husband, Larry Allen of Jacksonville, Florida; and two children, daughter Camie McCoy of Hilliard, Florida and son, Derek Allen of Jacksonville, Florida. She had three granddaughters, Jessie Allen of Jacksonville, Florida, Shiane Allen of Middleburg, Florida, and Kailee McCoy of Hilliard, Florida. She was also survived by two sisters, Patricia Hutchins and Christine Trimble of Jacksonville, Florida, along with many nieces and nephews.

She is predeceded in death by her father, Leroy Overstreet and mother, Muriel Overstreet of Cresent City, Florida.

Kay was born on August 24, 1948 in Jacksonville, Florida. She graduated from Terry Parker High School and then soon after married the love of her life, Larry C. Allen in 1967. She worked at Bell South for 37 years, was loved by everyone she met and had the biggest heart of anyone.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 6, 2017 from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. with the funeral service to follow at 1:00 P.M. at Hardage-Giddens Edgewood Chapel. Wilford McCormick will officiate the ceremony. Burial will follow at Hardage-Giddens, Riverside Memorial Park, 7242 Normandy Boulevard, Jacksonville, Florida 32205.
