Katie Fussell Davidson

Katie was born was December 2, 1941 in Broxton, Ga. to Zelin and Thelma (Rowell) Fussell. She attended Ribault High School and briefly attended Florida State University. She enjoyed various jobs with Burroughs Corporation, Florida National Bank and Hallmark. On February 2, 1985, she married Bob Davidson. Between them, they had three daughters, Shari, Lisa and Cristi and three sons, Tim, David, & Danny. Grandchildren include Heather, Zack, Noah, Seth and Delany.

Early in life, she enjoyed sewing with what little free time she might find. Katie had a beautiful voice and it was such a joy to hear her sing. Her passion, however, was the love of God. She was never shy about asking if you knew about Jesus Christ, and enjoyed a discussion with anyone concerning most parts of the Bible.

Katie was preceded in death by her mother and father, her four brothers; Aubry, Jarman, Jay and Seward Lott. She is survived by her husband, Bob; Sisters: Alma Dean, Wanda, Janet and Brothers: Roy and Windle.

In lieu of flowers, the family would greatly appreciate that memorial contributions be made to the America Cancer Society.

A Committal service will be held on Thursday, June 17, 2021 at 9:00 AM at Jacksonville National Cemetery. 4083 Lannie Rd. Jacksonville, FL 32218. Followed by a memorial service at 11:00 AM in Abundant Live Church. 7700 Wilson Blvd. Jacksonville, FL 32210.
