A devoted mother and grandmother, she was born May 2, 1959 in Madison, Wisconsin to Mr. and Mrs. Richard Spoerle. She attended James Madison Memorial High School. She lived in Jacksonville, FL where she worked for American Greeting and Walmart.
Kathy is survived by her husband Matthew Van Gilder; two children, Crystal Wooldridge of Sugar Grove, West Virginia and Steven Van Gilder of Jacksonville, Florida; two grandchildren, Paeton Wooldridge of Sugar Grove, West Virginia and Ethan Van Gilder of Jacksonville, Florida; parents Betty Lou and Richard Spoerle of Madison Wisconsin; two sisters Cindy Spoerle of Prairie Du Sac, Wisconsin, and Brenda Spoerle of McFarland, Wisconsin; one brother; Jeff Spoerle of Madison, Wisconsin and other loving family members and friends.
A memorial service will be held March 3, 2014 at 6:00 PM. There will be a reception following the service for the family to receive friends until 8:00PM.
